Lincoln  Elementary

Participation is limited - reserve your spot today at EventBrite

This year's BWR is featuring a WheelKid's 2-hour bike skills and safety training geared to build skill and confidence in all levels of bikers. There will be three levels designed to meet the skills of all participants:

1) Very Beginner for those trying to get off training wheel;

2) Beginning Skills for those already riding but who need to improve riding skills and increase traffic safety knowledge;

3) Intermediate for those who need a little more challenge.

All levels will include traffic safety instruction and result in a more skilled rider. Scooters and skateboards are welcome to participate.

Participation is limited - Reserve your spot today

What to Expect at the Event:

Bike Skills Training: Student riders will be divided into one of three groups, depending on their riding skill. Riders still using training wheels will be encouraged to remove them (service provided onsite) and given special instructions, but parents/rider can opt to leave the training wheels on. Riders will go through a bike and helmet safety check, then begin riding through a bike course while receiving safety training and riding skills advice from the WheelKids expert staff. As riders progress, they can move up to more challenging courses. Riders will ride  and learn for around 2 hours.

Please have your child bring their bike and helmet, sun protection, and water and light snack, and be sure to bring completed copies of the Participant Agreement Form.

Bike Powered Food: We will have our bike blenders hard at work pedalling out smoothies and snack foods like hummus and other dips. Riders can take a break at anytime to get refreshed and have a snack.

Helmet Services: There will be a helmet give-away, as supplies last. Also, helmet inspections and adjustments will be available throughout the day.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
